Blue Mountain Community College Athletics

Blue Mountain's Timberwolves compete in the NAIA, which offers a middle ground between the intense scholarship-driven culture of Division I and the purely recreational approach of Division III. About 17% of the school's 977 students participate in varsity athletics across 9 sports. The athletic department distributes $324,858 in scholarships among its 163 athletes. As a community college in rural eastern Oregon, Blue Mountain focuses on providing opportunities for local athletes to continue competing while pursuing their education.
