Athletics Overview
Indiana Tech competes in NAIA, which sits between NCAA Division I and Division III with moderate athletic scholarships and regional competition. With 1,009 athletes out of 1,361 total students, an impressive 74% of the student body participates in varsity sports across 30 different teams. The Warriors receive $7.4 million in athletic scholarships, making sports accessible to many students at this technical college. The school fields teams in traditional sports alongside less common offerings that match its engineering focus. This strongly high participation rate means athletics form a central part of campus culture, unusual for a small technical institution. Most students either compete or actively support teammates in a tight-knit athletic community that defines much of the social experience at Indiana Tech.
