Athletics Overview

Life University competes in NAIA athletics with 16 varsity sports programs. The Running Eagles have 715 student-athletes, meaning an impressive 82% of the 869-student body participates in varsity athletics. NAIA represents mid-level college competition with athletic scholarships but smaller crowds than Division I programs. Life distributes $5.6 million in athletic scholarships across its teams. The university has built a reputation for rugby excellence, fielding one of the top collegiate rugby programs in the nation. Many students come specifically for the combination of chiropractic studies and athletic opportunities. The high percentage of student-athletes reflects Life's philosophy of integrating physical wellness with healthcare education. With a 52% male to 48% female split, both men's and women's programs receive strong support from the health sciences-focused student body.
