Marietta College Athletics

Marietta competes in NCAA Division III, where sports focus on personal development rather than athletic scholarships. With 483 athletes across 18 varsity sports, nearly half the student body (47%) participates in athletics at this small college of 1,035 students. The Pioneers play in the Ohio Athletic Conference, one of the most competitive D3 leagues in the Midwest. Marietta has historically strong programs in crew and baseball, taking advantage of its location along the Muskingum River for rowing.
