MICA accepts about 80% of applicants, making it open admission for an art school. This means most students who apply get in, but don't let that fool you into thinking admission is automatic. Your portfolio matters far more than test scores here. The average SAT is 1165, with the middle 50% scoring between 967 and 1362, but many art schools care less about standardized tests than traditional colleges. MICA wants students who are serious about art and design, not necessarily those with perfect grades.
