Montana Technological University Athletics

Montana Tech competes in NAIA athletics, which represents mid-level college sports with athletic scholarships but smaller crowds than Division I programs. With 285 athletes out of 1,428 total students, nearly 20% of the student body participates in varsity sports. The Orediggers field teams in 8 sports and distribute $1.2 million in athletic scholarships annually. Montana Tech competes in the Frontier Conference alongside other small Rocky Mountain schools.
